INTRODUCTION
This is a high horsepower (pun intended) build utilising frequent casting of [Dagath]'s abilities to allow Rakhali's Cavalry to deal damage and 'nuke' enemies. Grave Spirit is the subsume slot but you can just keep it on for free cheat death as well as a nice crit damage buff for when you feel like using weapons.
UPDATE 2025
The wrathful advance infinite stack bug has been nerfed. The build in the video below still works but you will just not get overflow crit anymore and it is more ideal to subsume over 4.
UPDATE JUNE 2024
The new augment [Spectral Spirit] which allows you to forcefully enter Spectral Form, allowing you to become invulnerable, gives 100% health orb drop chance on kill (meaning 55 energy per kill via [Equilibrium]) and force applies Doom via weapons or abilities. Finally, the augment allows you to reduce the 25s cooldown by 1s per kill, meaning you can reset Spectral Form completely every 25 kills, which can be achieved in under 5 seconds with just Rakhali's Cavalry or shooting weapons.
PLAYSTYLE
Activate Grave Spirit (tap 3) at the beginning of the mission and whenever it is off cooldown to stay invulnerable.
Cast Wyrd Scythe (tap 1) to throw out 7 sickles that auto target enemies within 40 m after a 1s delay. Enemies hit get slowed and receive a forced viral status
Cast Doom (tap 2) within the 1s delay of Wyrd Scythe on nearby enemies in front of you (only need to tag at least one enemy). Doomed enemies hit by Wyrd Scythe will spread the Doom effect to nearby enemies, basically propagating the effect through the map. Damaging Doomed enemies triggers "Phantom Wrath" which appears as a sickle above their head, storing all damage dealt in the next 2s then dealing that damage again as true damage (bypassing armor). Think of this as a "total damage multiplier" with a base effect of 1.35x.
Cast Rakhali's Cavalry (tap 4) to strip and nuke enemies marked by Phantom Wrath, in front of you over a fixed distance.
The general ability rotation will be to spam 1 + 2 followed by 4 in that order to constantly kill enemies, while keeping 3 active at all times as possible.
SURVIVABILITY
Invulnerability + Shield gating + Crowd Control
[Spectral Spirit] gives you about 30s of invulnerability at 300% duration whenever you activate Grave Spirit, and getting kills reduces the 25s cooldown by 1s per kill meaning you only need to stay alive with regular shield gating during a short window while getting 25 kills to reset Spectral Spirit. With the Catalyzing Shields mod on, whenever your shields break from maximum you will have 1.33s of i-frames to basically recast 2 or 4 to fully reset your shield gate. [Catalyzing Shields] sets [Dagath]'s max shields to only 50, meaning a single cast of either 2 or 4 gives the max gate time with Brief Respite and an Augur mod. Casting 4 is preferred because it has inbuilt i-frames and tends to kill or knockback enemies. Note in general play, just the ability rotation of constantly pressing 2,1 and 4 will naturally allow you to shield gate without needing to actually keep track of your shields. Finally, most enemies should either be SLOWED by Wyrd Scythes that gets spread throughout the map everytime you use 2,1 combo, or DEAD from 4 so you shouldn’t even be getting damaged that frequently.
BUILD SPECIFICS
Duration
Duration has been maximised for maximum [Spectral Spirit] uptime. At 300% duration we get at least 30s of invulnerability. With Molt Efficiency and Duration Archon Shards or even [Grimoire] duration mod, we can increase this further closer to 40s. Duration also sets Scythe and Doom duration to excessive levels and even Rakhali to almost 10s which increases the total amount of damage.
Efficiency
We can now completely drop efficiency because [Dagath] has TWO methods of improving energy generation. With [Spectral Spirit], you now have a 100% chance to generate health orb on kill, while [Equilibrium] converts each health orb into 55 energy. This means you are guaranteed 550 energy every 10 kills while [Spectral Spirit] is active, which is simply insane. In addition, [Dagath] has the Abundant Abyss passive that has a 35% chance of QUADRUPLING orb effectiveness, i.e. increasing energy orb effect from 25 to 100. That means for every 10 energy orbs dropped, instead of getting 250 energy, [Dagath] on average gains 537 energy (nearly double energy). Note Equilibrium does NOT appear to allow the health orb boosts to translate into energy gain i.e. health orbs do not give 200 health/220 energy when [Equilibrium] is equipped. It is uncertain if this is intentional or not.
Range
Range is actually NOT as important as you would initially think. This is because hitting a single doomed enemy with Wyrd Scythe causes the effect to spread to surrounding enemies within a base range of 15m (approximately 5m at min range). This means as long as enemies are standing within a short distance (about 5m) of each other, you should be able to spread the effect throughout a crowd regardless of range. In most maps, enemies do not stand that far apart so 100% range is sufficient. What range really affects then is simply how close you need to be to affect the first enemy with Doom, although this is also no longer important with the augment [Spectral Spirit] since it allows weapons and Rakhali itself to self apply doom and therefore strip from any range.
Strength
Strength affects the slow of 1, the stored damage on 2, the crit dmg buff of 3 and the armor strip and damage of 4. A strength of 272% is required to hit the 95% slow cap on 1 while a strength of 286% is required to hit both the 100% damage storage of 2 as well as the 100% armor strip per horse. Note that a single horse can actually hit multiple times so the threshold of 286% is not crucial to hit, in fact even just running around 140% str allows consistent full strip.
Archon Shards
ONE to TWO Amber Cast shards optional- speeds up cast of Rakhali
THREE to FOUR Tauforged Crimson Duration shards - to help maximise duration further for [Spectral Spirit]
Aura
[Brief Respite] matches her innate polarity and allows her to shield gate effectively in between [Spectral Spirit] cooldown. There really is no alternative unless you apply an aura forma and slot [Corrosive Projection] to reduce strip threshold from 286 to 235% strength, or [Growing Power] for extra strength.
Exilus
Completely flexible. Use [Primed Sure Footed] if you own it, otherwise just use [Power Drift] or [Cunning Drift].
Flexible Options
[Natural Talent]: at least ONE source of Casting Speed is MANDATORY for casting 4 since it has such as slow cast time. This can be either from Natural Talent, Madurai power transfer or Amber Archon Shards.
Catalyzing Shields/[Rolling Guard]: Either or both are OPTIONAL if you have issues with surviving in between cooldowns of Spectral Spirit. This is especially useful if using weapons to kill rather than Rakhali to kill, since Rakhali normally has inbuilt i-frames.
Arcanes
Molt Efficiency for even more duration
Molt Augmented for more strength
Arcane Icestorm, use with a cold status weapon like [Epitaph] for 40% str and duration
HELMINTH
Helminth on [Dagath] is extremely flexible, can go over either 1, 2 or 4 depending on the focus. If pure melee focused, subsume Wrathful Advance over 2. If pure weapon focused, subsume roar, eclipse, [Xata]'s whisper or energized munitions over 4. If pure Rakhali focused, subsume roar over 1 or 2. Note that if you subsume over doom, you will still be able to apply doom due to [Spectral Spirit], but you lose the strength scaling meaning it will be fixed at 35% bonus.
Cavalry Nuke
For a 4 nuke and ability spam based build:
- Roar: Boosts Rakhali damage and weapon damage
Weapon Platform
For a weapon platform based build:
- Breach Surge: Crit damage buff from Grave Spirit applies to Breach Surge spark separately, thereby semi "double dipping" when created by a weapon. Breach surge also applies the melee stealth multiplier (7x additive to crit multi). If you want some range for Breach Surge, swap Narrow Minded for Stretch or Nira's Hatred.
- Wrathful Advance: Flat crit chance buff to melee weapons - note there is a bug making it stack infinite if you subsume over 2.
- Nourish: free weapon viral and energy boost
- Roar: double dips DoTs
- Eclipse: for raw damage
- Energized Munitions: for spamming guns
- Xata's Whisper: for raw damage especially if headshotting
- Warcry: for melee attack speed
- Molt: for speed boost
Reave DPS
For an alternative Reave nuke build, subsume Reave over 4. Reave normally requires 295% strength with 10 viral status to oneshot any non-boss enemy. With [Dagath], since Doom stores the damage of Reave and deals it again, you can effectively reduce the total strength required to oneshot. In addition, Wyrd Scythes spreads viral status. With Doom and 10 viral, you only need 181% str to one shot. With Doom and 1 viral, you need 304% strength to one shot.
Similar to Breach Surge variant, swap [Narrow Minded] for [Stretch] or [Nira's Hatred].

IMPORTANT NOTE: Doom can steal kills and prevents activation of on kill effects like Galvanized mods and Merciless as well as certain gimmicks such as [Ocucor] [Sentient Surge]. If you notice difficulty building or maintaining these, consider swapping Galvanized Mods out for the regular variants and using Arcanes that do not depend on kills (e.g. Primary Blight/Frostbite/Plated rounds, Secondary Encumber/Flare etc).
