Basic Temple for SP General Use (Lizzie linked)

Basic build for Temple intended for Steel Path general use, probably won't hold itself for level cap tho

Mods :

  • [Corrosive Projection] : Probably the less optimal mod of the bunch, but if you don't want to polarize the Aura slot, either this or Energy Siphon works decently

  • [Blind Rage] + [Streamline] : Since [Temple] passive grants 50% efficiency if you time your abilities, you can get the sweet 99% Strength without too much downside, and with Streamline on you're basically at 125% efficiency when timing the passive

  • Archon Vitality : No brainer for Heat-based Warframe, and since [Lizzie] does pure Heat damage, has a pretty high Status chance, you'll proc disgusting amounts of Heat Status, and Temple's decently high Health and inherent Vazarin polarity makes this mod a go-to

  • [Primed Continuity] + [Transient Fortitude] : Ripper's Wail (3rd ability) needs a bit of Duration so you don't run out of energy in two seconds trying to keep the buff up, but you can spare some of it to get a bit more Strength and still get a 38sec base buff timer, and 6sec more with each timed abilities

  • [Adaptation] : With the extra Health from [Archon Vitality] and Ripper's Wail restoring full Health + Overshields, the damage reduction makes [Temple] really tanky, and you're not forced to use Ripper's Wail every 3 hits, especially when it's the most energy hungry ability he has

  • Stretch : Basic Range mod

  • [Precision Intensify] : This one is completely up to preferences. I first put [Intensify] here because I felt no need for more stats except Strength, but since you'll get a shit ton of Crit Chance on Lizzie naturally, I figured 30% more Strength for Overdrive (2nd ability) was not as worth as the 0.75x damage on Lizzie.

  • Power Drift : Once again a very preference-based choice, since I do not own [Primed Sure Footed], but more Strength is more damage on [Lizzie] so always good to have

Arcanes :

I refer to Lizzie's build choices on here, so check the build page for it if needed : https://overframe.gg/build/825760/

  • Arcane Impetus : [Lizzie] gives you access to guaranteed Status procs when using abilities while aiming, and of course they're procing Impetus. With Viral, Magnetic, Cold, Corrosive, as well as Impact on any of them and the inherent Heat of the Weapon, you can get 6 easy stacks. However, if you mod some Heat on [Lizzie], the Cold projectile will get its damage changed to Explosive, as well as procing 3 Cold Status if the shot is timed with the passive, giving you acces to a 7th stack, without any help from your companion. That means 42% Strength and 21% Efficiency that refreshes each time you proc Heat with Lizzie

  • Arcane Hot Shot : This Arcane was made FOR [Temple] and you can't convince me otherwise. At max rank and stacks, you'll have 210% Crit Chance on [Lizzie] if you put [Critical Delay] on it, and this stacks and refreshes on [Lizzie]'s Heat procs. Note that this is without taking into account Overdrive's bonus Crit Chances

Shards :

Archon Shards are the most up to preferences part of this build, but here's my setup :

  • Blue Shards : 2 for Max Energy

  • Red Shards : 3 for Strength

Strategy :

IMPORTANT, always time your abilities with your passive, you don't get much energy so use it efficiently !

What you'll want to do first is to get your Impetus stacks, so pop your 1 as soon as you see an enemy, allowing you to summon [Lizzie]. Then, proc your statuses until you get to 7 stacks. Your Cold shot also proc Explosive, but it's not guaranteed, so make sure you did proc it. Use your 3 to get your buff started, heal potential damages you took while stacking Impetus and filling your Lizzie's munition gauge. Pop your 1 to further add to the gauge and refresh/stack your buffs, then dismiss and resummon [Lizzie] to profit from Impetus' Strength boost.

After this, just use your 1 and 2 to fill the gauge and keep your Ripper's Wail buff up and ramp up some damage. Your 1 is your go-to move to use, since it has great range, procs heat so it refreshes both Arcane Impetus and Hot Shot, and fills out as much gauge as any other ability. Also cost very little energy.

If you want to get your buff maxed out as fast as possible, you can spam on tempo your 2, as you need to hit an enemy to get the boost, so doing no damage allows you to not clear out all enemies in a few casts. Just pay attention to your energy and your arcane buffs, use your 1 or shoot with [Lizzie] to refresh them.

Use your 3 if you get low HP or if Ripper's Wail buff is going to run out. Use your 2 on enemies you feel are too tanky, and you can also prime them with Viral/Magnetic/Corrosive if necessary.

Possible Changes :

  • Mods :
If you don't like [Precision Intensify], you can swap it to either [Intensify] or [Umbral Intensify] (tho you'll need to use another Forma for the latter). [Archon Intensify] is also a possible choice, since your 3 heals you, but with the buff only lasting 10sec, I don't find it worth to use your 3 so frequently.
If your companion can proc Electric, you can swap [Stretch] with its Archon counterpart for some Energy [Regen].
For the Exilus mod, use whatever you'd like most, Cunning, Endurance and Coaction Drift are great, and Primed Sure Footed is always a good QoL choice.
If you feel like polarizing the Aura slot, my go-to would be Growing Power, since Lizzie can proc it, just think about dismissing the resummoning her to take advantage of the buffit gives you

  • Arcanes :
I don't really think there's much to change here, but if you REALLY struggle with energy, Energize is a possible option instead of Impetus. And if you want more Strength, swap Impetus for Molt Augmented.
I said that Hot Shot is made for Temple, but if you really dislike it or don't have it, you can pick one of the above, or try Arcane Rage

  • Archon Shards :
You can swap one or two Red Shards for Duration if Ripper's Wail Duration feel too short. Alternatively, you can also swap two Reds to Primary Status Chance in order to go beyond 100% Status Chance on primary fire (if you're using the [Lizzie] build I'm showing off)
If you're really thinking confident about Energy, swap out one Blue Shard to a Red Shard for any of the three previously mentionned stats.
You can also put a Yellow Shard instead of either a Red or Blue for Energy Orbs Efficiency or Energy Filled on Spawn if you feel like it, but I wouldn't recommend it

  • Subsumes :
I tend to not use Subsumes on frames, the only I've considered are [Ember]'s Flame Wall or [Jade]'s Eye's of Ophanim, cause AOE armor stripping is the only thing [Temple] kinda lacks, and they bothe proc Heat, which makes it a decent replacement of his 1, the only ability I really consider replaceable.
And of course you can use Roar, Gloom or Nourish cause why the fuck not, but if so you'll need to shoot with [Lizzie] to keep Impetus and Hot Shot up
