Some combos can help trigger Melee Afflictions, which will quickly pile on more Toxin status effects. As long as enemies are killed when they have at least 10 Toxin procs, each kill will result in a small AOE that also procs more Toxin. This is basically a miniature Melee Influence whip.

[Volt] (or any Warframe with his 1) with Shock and [Shock Trooper] can instead make this a pretty potent Melee Influence weapon. [Shock Trooper]'s Electricity damage does not combine with existing elemental damage types, which lets [Spinnerex] quite easily proc 2 DOTs with Melee Influence.

[Drifting Contact] can be dropped for an attack speed mod if you use Naramon. [Primed Fever Strike] can be dropped for [Virulent Scourge] to guarantee 3 Toxin procs per strike at max combo and to use fewer Forma, though the loss in damage is significant.
