Trillionaire Spinnerex v1.1.2 | Tox Afflictions | Break the Cap w/ Saryn Lash + Expedite | 1999

__

Revision Log:

v 1.X.X >> Build identity changes / Complete build overhaul
v X.1.X >> Central idea stays; only mod order changes / or Major guide rework
v X.X.1 >> No change in setup; Minor guide edits only

__

[Spinnerex] Passive: Enemies hit by [Spinnerex] and then killed from any source have a 10% chance to explode for each stack of toxin status, spreading toxin damage.

__

Why do we use?

Update: The stance is preference;

[Coiling Viper] is the better stance for single target affliction spamming, as blocking, neutral, and forward combos apply lifted, and heavy applies knockdown.

[Burning Wasp] doesn't have the same lifted effect, but has wider swing combos to hit more enemies on average than Coiling Viper

__

Why pure Status?

The base crit stats are too low to prioritize over raw / pure status dps, which is a good thing cuz now we can put all our focus into what this melee was designed to do, proc as many toxin as fast as possible

[Lasting Sting] for status duration, useful primarily for expedite suffering strats, but is also in theory doubles our max toxin ceiling on targets which is what matters for spreading, as passive is seemingly uncapped.

G Elementalist -- Status damage for Tox Afflictions. Also gives considerable chance on kill.

Smite will double dip toxin and triple dip afflictions, must slot if able, otherwise crit becomes better and smite + berserker should be swapped for g steel + blood rush

  • if no smite and swapping for crit, apply attack speed externally.

AFFLICTIONS -- Status effects that are applied during an attack that ragdolls or flings enemies, are applied x6.

  • Afflictions is a separate damage calculation, basically means faction / status damage bonuses are applied again

  • Afflictions uses the cumulative average damage of ALL status effects present per target when applying additional stacks.

  • *Afflictions is currently bugged and double applies status (12x) on "lifted" specifically.

DAMAGE CALCS!!

To prove myself and this build, because im on console and don't have access to the pc damage instance code, as always i will show my work for you 100% by hand

These calculations account for heavy attacks only, not the light attacks in between.

Calcs only factor toxin damage, whips have forced slash on heavy, take of that what u will.

__

Weapon + Priming

^^

With no external buffs except for a primer, we are able to hit for 400 million tox damage ticks per heavy strike

Through our weapons passive, our heavy strikes will spread 40 million tox damage per strike on kill

If you just want to use the weapon and not consider really anything else, THIS is what you can expect, everything after this involves external buffs and subsumes

__

[Saryn] Lash

^^

To further boost our damage, we have to start thinking outside of the weapon. There are many ways, but for this example we will use a [Saryn] with Expedite Sufffering just for fun.

Now we build a [Saryn] with ~330% power strength to [Reach] 200% lash, 4 tau emerald tox shards, and arcane blade charger, and we are able to hit for a much more impressive 3 billion tox damage ticks per heavy strike, at this point, we are already breaking the damage cap.

^^

Through our weapons passive, our heavy strikes will spread 300 million tox damage per strike on kill. We are now spreading almost as much as we originally did up front.

__

Expedite Suffering

^^

I did not realize until too late, for above^^ pretend “x2 Heavy x Expedite” says 274B, NOT 685B

Now that we know what [Saryn] is doing, we can end off with Expedite suffering. In this table i will show what damage we will be dealing based on # of heavy attacks inflicted before expediting it, more of which become possible because of our status duration mods.

As we keep heavy attacking, our damage skyrockets through the hundreds of billions!

^^

The final step, [Contagious Bond]. Your companion just need to kill one enemy to spread potentially hundreds of billion damage toxin procs, combine that with more heavy strikes, provided they can somehow survive it with i frames or something, we can potentially hit for over 1 trillion damage ticks.

^^

At this end stage, this is what our spread toxin is dealing, which once again becomes what we used to deal up front with just [Saryn].

There is potentially so much more we could do, but im sure this is enough for one day...

What the Hell is 'Double Dipping'?

People often use 'dipping' out of context and wrong, so i will explain. Dipping refers to when a specific value or multiplier appears in multiple damage formulas during the final damage calculation.

When it IS double dipping -- One value is applied to multiple formulas, say (1x) Our Smite multiplier appears once in base damage formula, (2x) a second time in status DoT formula, and in some cases, (x3) Smite appears a third time in the formula for Melee Influence. Our Smite mod has been therefore 'triple dipped'.

When it is NOT dipping – One value is applied to a single formula multiple times, this is when a value is squared, not double dipped. For example, and to stay with the topic, some people like to say that electric is able to double dip from enemy part multipliers and triple dip from faction bonuses, but this is not how that works. When electric counts part multipliers a second time, it is doing so in the same damage formula, so electric is squaring the bonus, not double dipping it. So in such case we would say that electric is squaring (applying twice) a headshot bonus and double dipping a faction mod.
