Why is this build called Double Ash?
This build takes everything you want to be doing and does it twice which makes for very smooth and comfy gameplay:
- Two ways to DPS (Bladestorm and Hate Incarnon w/Influence)
- Two Primers (Glaxion and Epitaph)
- Two status cleanses (Rolling Guard and Secondary Fortifier)
- Two Energy Sources (Archon Stretch and Glaxion)
- Two teleports (Wrathful Advance and Teleport)
- Two Mobility Increases besides Teleport (Archon Shard and Hate Incarnon)
- Two combo counters to not keep track of (Hate and Bladestorm both take advantage of Naramon)
- Four uses for Wrathful Advance (Teleport, Buff Bladestorm, Buff Hate Incarnon, Free Heavy Attack)
Why Use This Build?
- Very high damage with Bladestorm or Hate Incarnon (or any melee) without needing to prime enemies or do anything special.
- Very comfortable and active gameplay
- Compared to other Ash builds, this one has more range and comfortability.
Abilities
- Passive - Bleeds do +25% damage and last 50% longer.
- (1) Wrathful Advance - This allows you to teleport (18m) or perform a heavy attack without consuming combo and gives a flat buff to melee critical chance. This allows very high critical chance on Bladestorm and swaping out a mod on Hate Incarnon.
- (2) Smoke Screen - This is Ash's main source of survivability by making you invisible.
- (3) Teleport - You can teleport (87m) to allies or enemies. This also gives a brief moment of invulnerability and will automatically do a finisher attack on enemies if possible. Using Teleport while [Blade Storm] is active will cause you to join Blade Storm. This generally isn't beneficial in any way other than making you invulnerable for that time.
- (4) Blade Storm - This is [Ash]'s main source of DPS. The energy cost of [Blade Storm]'s marks are reduced if you are invisible when the mark is applied. If you are invisible, mark enemies, then invisibility ends, the cost reduction still applies when Blade Storm is activated. Any source of invisibility works.
How to Use This Build
- You may want to use the [Glaxion] to get some Energy at the start of a mission. Make sure Wrathful Advance and Smoke Screen are active and use Bladestorm and Hate Incarnon to kill enemies.
Mods
- Steel Charge - More mod capacity than normal auras and benefits Blade Storm and melee weapons.
- Primed Sure Footed - This is isn't mandatory, but you are likely to die if you get knocked down and invisibility runs out. It is also nice to have for some AoE weapons.
- Archon Continuity - Duration. The Archon effect is technically used, but it is not necessary.
- Primed Flow - This provides a large Energy pool to even out any Energy droughts or let you stay invisible without enemies around.
- Umbral Intensify - Strength
- Archon Stretch - Extra Range and improved Energy economy
- Rolling Guard - Extra survivability and status cleanse. Very good against Nullifiers, Acolytes, and some Eximus
- Transient Fortitude - Strength
- Constitution - Duration
- Streamline - I like the extra efficiency here. [Energy Nexus] is ok, but I would replace Archon Stretch with Energy Nexus before replacing Streamline. This slot can also be used for Augments.
Arcanes
- Molt Augmented: +60% Strength
- Arcane Crepuscular: +30% Strength and +3x Final Critical Damage Mulitiplier while invisible. This is excellent for Bladestorm and any weapons that use critical chance.
Archon Shards
- 1 Energy Orb Effectiveness for synergy with the [Glaxion], 1 Parkour Velocity, and 3 Ability Duration. Alternatively, you can swap (2) Ability Duration Shards for (2) Energy Capacity Shards and use Augur Message instead of Primed Flow
Focus Schools
- Naramon is by far the best. If you need to use something else, you will probably want Rising Storm instead of Streamline and maybe a Dexterity Arcane or two to better use Hate Incarnon.
Weapons
- I use this Tenet Cycron build for priming enemies and getting some Energy with Photon Overcharge. It is also good for popping Nullifiers.
- I use this Epitaph build to prime with Viral and Magnetic and Secondary Fortifier for Overguard gating.
- I use [Hate] Incarnon for amazing Slash Damage along with Melee Influence. [Hate] also gives 20% Parkour Velocity and Sprint Speed. The build is [Reaping Spiral], [Dispatch Overdrive], [Primed Fury], [Primed Reach], [Condition Overload], [Blood Rush], [Weeping Wounds], [Amalgam Organ Shatter], [Galvanized Elementalist], and [Focus Energy] with Melee Influence. Normally you would use [Sacrificial Steel] instead of Focus Energy, but Wrathful Advance gives Critical Chance making this the best mod to replace to get Electric.

Historic Builds Comparison
- Roar used to be the best helminth ability for [Ash] with Silence + [Savage Silence] being a close second. These are both still good, but the build above is much much better.
