INTRO

Tired of looking for Sevagoth builds only to find late-game or end-game builds exclusively? Don't worry, I am here to aid.
He doesn't need 69 Forma to become good, he just plays very differently depending on your gear.

ALTERNATIVE MOD CHOICES

  • Fast Deflection > Shadow Haze: Huge powerboost if you have acquired this augment.
  • Streamline > Fleeting Expertise: Use if you prefer focusing on his 2+1 combo.

IMPORTANT NOTE / What To Avoid
Many new players have acquired Sevagoth Prime recently, but unfortunately, all builds for him out there in Overframe and Youtube are late/end-game builds. The biggest lie they are told is that he only needs two augments to nuke, but the truth is you need way more than that. Those nuke builds have certain thresholds that if you do not meet, they will not perform well, which are...

  • +255% Ability Strength
  • Both augments
  • [Rhino]'s Roar Subume

If you don't meet these 3 criteria, your build will not perform as expected and I'm sure some of you have experienced that (constantly dying and/or running out of energy). So until then, steer away from those builds and please, do not use Dark Propagation until you're ready, it's a trap mod. Anyways, here is the new player/mid game guide instead!

BRIEF GUIDE ON SEVAGOTH'S ABILITIES

  • Passive: On-death, summon Sevagoth's companion to recollect 5 souls and self-revive. The passive requires an enemy on your reticle to avoid missing.
  • Ability 1 (Reap): Useful to weaken stronger units. Applies debuff on enemies.
  • Ability 2 (Sow): Best used against groups. Seeds enemies, hit seeded enemies with Reap to create an area-of-effect explosion.
  • Ability 3 (Gloom): Use very sparingly at this stage of the game. Creates a lifeforce aura around [Sevagoth]. Enemies inside will be slowed down and drain your energy, while allies will gain lifesteal on their attacks. The energy drain can be manageable with Efficiency and Duration mods. The slow difference will be highly noticeable once you have acquired high strength, capping at 95% slow at 272% strength on cast.
  • Ability 4 (Shadow): Best used when under pressure, do not use for longer than 5s~7s per cast, but recast as needed. Take control of Sevagoth's wraith companion, the Exalted Shadow, equipped with it's own Exalted Claws.
    .
  • Shadow's Ability 1 (Embrace): Very useful to gather a large amount of enemies Pulls enemies in a cone infront of Shadow. Recast to keep grabbing more enemies, then use a Finisher "Interact Button" on the large meatball.
  • Shadow's Ability 2 (Consume): Self-heal for the Shadow. Requires aiming directly at enemies.
  • Shadow's Ability 3 (Death's Harvest): Expensive and slow, avoid using. Debuffs enemies. Use Reap (Sevagoth's 1) instead to debuff enemies.
  • Shadow's Ability 4 (Reunite): Take control again of Sevagoth.

HOW TO USE SEVAGOTH ON A MID-GAME LEVEL

[Sevagoth] at this game performs better when working together with his Shadow. The gameplay loop revolves around the following strats...

  • Debuff enemies with his 1 - Reap.
  • On crowds, cast 2 and 1 for a massive detonation but avoid spamming.
  • 3 will not shine until you acquire high strength.
  • Shadow 4 is best used to deal with crowds by grouping them with his 1 or killing elite units (eximus) with a single heavy-attack from the Claws.
  • Avoid: Adding more than 145% range and neglecting Shadow for survivability.

MOD CHOICES EXPLAINED

  • Dreamer's Bond: Filler aura, can be swapped up to preference.
  • Redirection: Increases Sevagoth's shields, which have more resistance than his health at such low armor (185).
  • Fast Deflection: Increased survivability, can be swapped for his 1st augment if acquired early.
  • Undying Will: Increases bleed-out timer to collect the 5 souls for the passive. There is no shame on dying on Sevagoth, he is very squishy. On non steel-path levels, enemy density is pretty low, by the time you gather 2 or 3 souls during the passive, the room will be clear. This mod extends the timer to keep finding unfortunate foes.
  • Streamline: Helps with casting his 1 more often, reduces 3's energy drain.
  • Continuity & Augur Message: Extends debuff timer on 1, reduces 3's energy drain.
  • Intensify: Increases debuff strength on 1.
  • [Stretch]: Easier spread of 1's debuff.
