[Coda Caustacyst] Perfected | Corrosive + Electricity | Hybrid | Influence
Progenitor for Electricity
850% additive CO on the Sludge Trail
The [Coda Caustacyst]
Coda Caustacyst is the Coda variant of the Infested Caustacyst scythe. A direct upgrade with higher damage, critical chance, critical multiplier, and status chance, along with its Corrosive Heavy Attack pools being bigger and longer lasting.
Passive
Heavy attacks throws a 5m wide Corrosive wave of up to 30 meters in the direction of the player's aim. The wave leaves a temporary trail on the ground, damaging and staggering enemies standing in it.
Why a Bane mod?
Bane mods have a double dipping effect on DoT weapons. This is true; however, Melee Influence has a triple dipping effect.
1.55x on the main damage multiplier
1.55x on the DoT effect
1.55x AGAIN on the spread through Melee Influence

Organ Shatter
Many of us do NOT like banes; I get it. Fuck the bane lol. Throw Organ Shatter and I think you'll be happy about it. You lose the triple dip, but you get a little bit of Critical Damage instead. It's also advantageous to run Organ Shatter against enemies who do not have a bane yet: Scaldra and Techrot.
Viral + Electricity
If you're interested in pseudo priming with the Scythe, consider replacing Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds with Viral to use a Viral + Electricity setup. Combining these mods with the innate Corrosive can make this a formidable weapon when not using outside sources of Viral.

Melee Afflictions & Toxin
Melee Afflictions is a decent alternative to a melee arcane. The arcane allows you to force +6 more status effect stacks onto all applied statuses on an enemy. This, in addition to Primed Fever Strike can allow for the highest DoT that can be moddable on the melee weapon. You may want to re adjust your progenitor if you plan to do this. Magnetic is okay, but I think weighting fully into toxin will put it over the edge for weighting -- considering the base status.
Melee Exposure & Corrosive
We could keep the progenitor as Electricity and mod fully into toxin for this to work. You'll gain a higher raw damage with an exposure build on frames that enjoy corrosive and tend to spam abilities. If you've got nourish on your favorite Warframe, but you're lacking an armor strip, give this alternative a try.

This is why we have 3 configs to choose from, and I always recommend trying out different builds for your missions.
