[Sporothrix] has a low crit chance but very high crit damage and high status chance (almost 400% after mods), meaning it can proc over 10 statuses per shot with multishot. The bulk of the damage comes from the direct hits, while the AOE provides free viral priming and some minor spread damage.
This is ideally used with an external flat crit chance buff since it has 1% cc but a whopping 3 cd, although the weapon innately can get +25% flat cc from 5 puncture procs which is enough to already benefit from the crit damage. Other sources include Arcane Avenger, [Harrow], [Citrine], [Sevagoth], [Adarza Kavat].

Blast has been buffed and can deal good AOE status damage on weapons with very high status, provided they can stack 10 blast within 1.5s
BUILD BREAKDOWN
[Galvanized Aptitude]: applies to the direct hit component which accounts for 90% of total DPS and stacks 80% dmg per status. At 6 innate statuses, Galvanized Aptitude gives +480% damage which is much higher than serration and [Semi-Rifle Cannonade]. This is also gives 80% status chance which is very good for [Sporothrix]. The small AOE component predominantly applies innate viral status in a tiny 2m range and does not really require much boosting.
Galv Chamber: Mandatory multishot
Thermite + [Rime Rounds]: makes blast for AOE clearing, see below for elemental variations e.g. pure electric, heat or toxin
[Rifle Elementalist]: multiplicative 1.9x to status damage e.g blast or electric procs
[Hammer Shot]: Gives even more status chance as well as crit damage which boosts average DPS.
[Volatile Variant]: gives more explosion radius, punchthrough and status chance, great for clearing crowds better. Optional if you want to use this specifically for single targets.
Primed Bane of Grineer/Corrupted: Applies separate 1.55x multiplier to base damage and double dips status procs for 2.4025x multiplier.
Primary Crux: gives ammo efficiency and further boosts status chance
FLEXIBLE OPTIONS
[Vital Sense]: Even more crit damage, especially important if running flat crit chance boosts
[Target Acquired]: If you headshot, you get a 1.6x multiplier, separate to base dmg and bane mods, but additive to the 50% headshot bonus when zoomed, giving a final dps boost of 40%. This is still higher than what Serration gives, but less than Vital Sense when at 5 puncture procs for external crit chance.
Amalgam Serration/normal [Serration]: Gives more damage without needing to build stacks, but is ultimately additive to Primary Merciless and Galv Aptitude meaning it only gives about 21% final DPS boost.
[Semi-Rifle Cannonade]: gives more dmg than [Serration], less damage than galv aptitude, but also locks fire rate which may not be desired if running external fire rate
[Vile Acceleration]: Increase fire rate which boosts DPS by 90%. Can offload if using external fire rate sources.

Pure Electric (best for murmur): swap [Thermite Rounds] and [Rime Rounds] for [Stormbringer] + [High Voltage]
Pure Heat (best for single targets): swap [Rime Rounds] for [Hellfire]
